Formulary Financial is building the world’s first AI-native, comprehensive fund administration services business. Formulary is on a mission to transform fund administration from error-prone paperwork into data-driven intelligence and expert service for investors. By implementing a high-touch service delivery model, data systemization, and AI-powered solutions in fund operations, Formulary is taking on the defining challenges of the asset management industry. Private markets span thousands of GPs and trillions in assets under management; the industry stands at the brink of a seismic transformation driven by the convergence of evolving investor expectations and rise of emerging technologies.

The Role

The Founder's Associate works directly with our CEO on the most strategic initiatives across the business—fundraising, GTM, product prioritization, operations, and hiring. This is not a scoped, execution-only seat. You will sit in the room for the decisions that shape the company, own projects end to end, and build the judgment to eventually run a function of your own.

We're looking for someone who wants maximum exposure to how an early-stage company is actually built, and who has the drive and track record to earn trust with ambiguity from day one.

What Impact You Will Own and Drive

  • Strategic Partnership: Work directly with the CEO on fundraising materials, board updates, GTM experiments, and key partnerships.

  • Special Projects: Own initiatives from scoping to execution—pulling in the right people, setting timelines, and making sure things ship.

  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Dig into operational and financial data to identify what's working, what's not, and what we should do about it.

  • Talent: Support hiring across the company—sourcing, screening, and helping build out the team as we scale.

  • External Representation: Represent Formulary in conversations with clients, investors, and partners.

  • Structure from Ambiguity: Be the first person to touch a new initiative, and bring clarity and rigor to problems that don't yet have an obvious owner.

What You Need

  • 1-4 years of experience in a high-intensity environment: investment banking, consulting, private equity/venture, or a high-growth startup.

  • A builder's mindset—you would rather figure it out and ship than wait for perfect instructions.

  • Excellence in analytical work, equally comfortable in a spreadsheet and a stakeholder conversation.

  • A strong communicator who can represent the company credibly with clients and investors.

  • A bias for action—you move fast, course-correct quickly, and keep momentum without needing to be told twice.

Extra / Bonus

  • Familiarity with private markets, fund administration, or the broader asset management landscape.

  • Hands-on fluency with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, or similar) in your day-to-day work.

  • Prior experience at an early-stage startup, in a founder's office, or in a similarly high-ownership role.
